Drop-off & collection
Getting metal to us
Can you collect my scrap?
Yes. We can collect scrap metal if there is more than a standard trailer load, depending on your location and the type of metal. The best way to find out is to send an enquiry with a few photos, and we will let you know if collection is available.
Do you collect whiteware?
No. But you are welcome to drop off your whiteware free of charge in the designated bins at the front of our yard, any time. The bins are for any metal.
Can I bring my scrap to the yard to sell?
Yes. Public buying is Friday mornings 8am to 1pm or by appointment with suitable ID.
Do you buy aluminium cans?
Yes. Bring them into the yard on Fridays between 8am and 1pm and we will sort you out.
Do I need to book a collection?
Yes, collections are by arrangement. Contact us with details of what you have, where it is, and photos if possible.
What areas do you cover?
We proudly serve the Greater Waikato area. For larger commercial, industrial, and farm jobs outside this region, please get in touch, we’re often able to help depending on the location and requirements.

What you get paid
Pricing & payment
Do you pay for scrap metal?
Yes. Payment depends on the type, quality and quantity of metal, plus any collection costs. Prices change regularly with the market, so send an enquiry with photos and we will advise.
Is my job worth sending a truck for?
Generally we collect loads larger than a standard trailer load. Not sure? Send photos and your location and we will tell you whether collection or drop-off is the better option.
Do you do ongoing trade accounts?
Yes. Plumbers, electricians, engineers, contractors and workshops can set up regular collection so scrap never piles up.
What we take
Materials
What types of scrap metal do you accept?
Most ferrous and non-ferrous metals: steel, aluminium, copper, brass, stainless steel, lead, car batteries, machinery and equipment. Unsure? Send a photo.
What items do you not accept?
General household rubbish, hazardous waste, chemicals or gas bottles that have not been made safe, asbestos, and sealed containers with unknown contents. If unsure, contact us first.

Do you remove large equipment or machinery?
Yes. We specialise in removing large machinery, industrial equipment and heavy scrap, and we provide gas and plasma cutting. Send photos and the location and we will chat about the best option.
What do you need for a job request?
A contact number, the job address, whether a truck can easily access the property, confirmation there are no overhead power lines, and photos of the material if you have them.
Why do you ask about overhead power lines?
Safety. Our trucks and gear lift high, so we confirm there are no overhead power lines over the metal or the access route before a job is booked.
Do I need to be there for the pickup?
Not always. If access is clear, the material is confirmed and we can reach you by phone, many jobs run without you on site.
